MAKING OF CLUB PRODUCTS
So I bet you've wondered how we make our delicious Club drinks...well it's a secret really but we can reveal some little bits..
The place
Ireland has always been a good place for drinks. Perched on the edge of the Atlantic, and lulled by the flow of the gulf stream, Ireland's temperate climate produces ideal natural conditions for the best raw materials to flourish.
New ideas seem to flourish here too. It was in Ireland that the first "uisce beatha" was distilled; where the more modern skills gave birth to the smooth dairy liqueurs we call Irish Creams, and where, over two centuries ago a method of carbonating pure water was developed, an invention they called Soda Water.
What ingredients do we use?
The natural fruit juices are obtained from freshly harvested fruit crops all over the world. The fruit is processed close to where it grows, and shipped to Ireland as natural strength juice or concentrate. Sometimes, essential oil from the peel or crushed whole fruit is also used.
Drinks, which do not contain actual juice, are naturally flavoured with oils and extracts taken from the fruit - these include orange and lemon oils, peppermint extract, ginger root and kola from a nut.
Specially refined, natural beet sugar is used to sweeten and give depth and taste to our drinks. The sugar is dissolved in water to produce a natural, heavy syrup.
Carefully treated and filtered water is sterilised for purity before being added to our drinks.
Fizz
The thirst-quenching fizziness which enhances our carbonated drinks comes from carbonation. This adds the bubbles and fizz to the drinks.
Production
All ingredients are expertly blended, then carbonated where necessary and bottled at our production sites in Dublin and Cork. After sealing, bottles are inspected one final time, labelled and packed into cases.
Distribution
From our central warehouse, stocks are delivered all over the country. All our bottled products are consumed in Ireland, but some flavours are exported to overseas manufacturers.
